About the job

Do you want to create communities that make a difference for people with mental vulnerability – and at the same time help create coherence in Multicafé's daily life?

Multihuset in Brøndby Municipality is seeking a social work professional who will both work closely with citizens and take on a coordinating role in Multicafé. The position combines relationship-based work, activities and social interaction with planning, coordination and professional development.

Communities with space for the individual

Multicafé is an activity and social offering where citizens can meet others, participate in activities and become part of a community. We work to ensure that citizens feel a sense of belonging and have the opportunity to contribute their own resources.

We base our approach on a recovery- and rehabilitative framework with respect for the citizen's hopes, wishes and dreams. This means that together with the citizens we explore what gives meaning to them, and how the community can support their well-being and everyday opportunities.

Your role in Multicafé

Part of your working time is allocated to citizen-centered work. You will become an active part of daily life and shall, among other things:

  • Create safe and trusting relationships and welcome both new and familiar citizens.
  • Support participation in communities with regard to different needs and prerequisites.
  • Plan and carry out activities together with citizens and colleagues.
  • Involve citizens in the café's everyday life, practical tasks and development.
  • Work with conflict de-escalation and contribute to a safe environment for users of the offering
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure coherence with Multihuset's other offerings and relevant communities outside the building.

The practical tasks are part of the shared work in the café and an opportunity for participation, responsibility and togetherness.

Part of the position is that you shall create an overview and support that agreements and activities hang together. You will solve the task in close collaboration with the management and colleagues

Part of your role will also be to prepare and coordinate the following

  • A fixed activity plan and monthly program based on the citizens' wishes and the available resources.
  • Create an overview of tasks and staffing needs in the café and align priorities with management.
  • Support clear task distribution and follow up on joint agreements.
  • Coordinate collaboration with staff from other initiatives that contribute to the café.
  • Support collaboration with volunteers and relevant partners.
  • Collect citizens' and staff experiences and convert them into development proposals.
  • Contribute to shared professional reflection on how the activities support participation, sense of mastery and community.

Staff management and decisions about finances and overall prioritization lie with the management.

We are looking for you who

  • Has a relevant social- or health-related education, for example as a pedagogue, occupational therapist, social worker or social- and health assistant.
  • Has experience with people with mental vulnerability and preferably social challenges or issues related to substances.
  • Can translate a recovery- and rehabilitative approach into concrete practice.
  • Has an eye for both the individual citizen and the dynamics of a community.
  • Can create structure, follow up and coordinate with respect for colleagues' professional expertise.
  • Enjoys combining citizen-centered work with coordinating tasks and practical help in the café.
  • Contributes to a working community where we can have professional disagreements, ask for help and take joint responsibility.

You may have experience with coordination, but the most important is that you can create an overview, involve others and make agreements work in practice.

We offer

You will become part of a multidisciplinary house with the opportunity to influence Multicafé's everyday life and development. We work to strengthen the coherence between our efforts and to develop a shared professional practice around recovery and rehabilitation.

You will have a position with close citizen contact, a clearly defined coordinating function and ongoing collaboration with management on tasks and priorities.

Practical information

The position is 37 hours per week. The working hours are arranged according to the café's activities and opening hours and include evening work.

The café's opening hours are currently Monday and Tuesday from 14:00 to 20:00, Thursday 10:00 to 14:00

Fridays on even weeks: 10:00-15:00. Your expected working time lies in participation in the café; the remaining time is planned based on the remaining hours.
